After a successful season, winning the GB Senior trials, followed by the World cup series, Twickenham's  John Collins (2nd left) is hoping to go one step further with a medal at the World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida at the end of September.

The British team for the championships was announced earlier this week with Collins, 28, being named in an unchanged line up for the heavyweight mens quadruple sculls along with Jonny Walton from Leicester and Pete Lambert and Jack Beaumont from Maidenhead.

The quartet are the World Cup winners for 2017 with gold in Poznan and silver in Lucerne. They also won the Queen Mother Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta back in July, breaking the 28 year old course record in the process.
