The White Swan Golf Society celebrated its 20th Anniversary by hosting a bumper golf day

Forty two current and former members plus guests battled it out over the Pine Ridge Golf Club course on  Friday 28th July. There were prizes for holes-in-one on all par 3s including a new car sponsored by MKG 3000 of Twickenham on the 12th hole. No one achieved this feat unfortunately.

The overall winner was Innes Masson who was awarded an engraved silver salver and a bar tab sponsored by the White Swan pub in Twickenham.

The day ended with a BBQ back at the pub and celebrations went on until late.

The Society was formed in 1997 by Steve Roy (a former landlord of the pub) and Robin Davis, its current Captain during a chat over the bar and it's been going strong ever since.

Robin said: "I am proud to be associated with the Society. We have had great fun over the last twenty years and long may it continue. I am grateful to all involved with the organisation of the anniversary golf day, in particular the Society's secretary Dave Plumer who began planning the event nearly two years ago."

The Society is always on the lookout for new members. Anyone interested should contact the White Swan in Twickenham who will pass on all enquiries.
