Entrepreneurs are invited to attend an event in Richmond to learn the benefits of trading with the USA.
Richmond Council, in partnership with The Department for International Trade (DIT) and the European Regional Development Fund-Global Growth Project, are hosting the trading event, on August 31, at the Exchange, in Twickenham.
Small and medium businesses from Richmond will have the opportunity to learn how to expand their markets and get up to date information on the benefits of exporting products and services to the USA.
The event is specifically targeted at businesses with an annual turnover of less than £40m, who have been trading for at least 12 months and have less than 250 employees.
With the the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world - the USA is Britain’s largest single export market.
The event program will feature talks on US market entry strategies, registering trademarks and other IP protection, exporting goods or services with no direct presence in the USA, including import duties, GST (VAT) and company tax and various company case studies.
There will also be an opportunity to participate in a one to one session with an International Trade Adviser at the end of the event.
