‘Wild Camp Out’ returns to Richmond this summer for a jam-packed weekend of activities and roasting marshmallows.
YMCA London South West is organising the annual events return, pitching up on the field outside YMCA Hawker,on Lower Ham road, on July 15 and 16.
Families are encouraged to set up their tents and get involved in the games, stories and cooking going on around the campfire.
Rosi, a North Kingston mum, who attended last year with her daughter, said: “Tamara loved running around the YMCA Hawker field in the dark, it gave her such a sense of freedom.”
The YMCA club will open a café in the morning and have a limited supply of sleeping mats, tents and chairs – donated by the All England Lawn Tennis Club – that they can provide.
The event costs £16 per pitch, and all funds raised will go towards the work that YMCA London South West does with children and young families. Tickets can be booked at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wild-camp-out-2017-tickets-33151373651
