The Rotary Club of Kew Gardens has a new president.
Noel Simmons, from Whitton, will take over the role from July 1 and help the club to continue its community projects throughout the year.
The club take on numerous role throughout the community from fundraising projects and taking school children on day’s out to helping to get people off the street and bigger international plans.
Mr Simmons said: "I'm very much looking forward to my year as President of the Club.
“We are a small but active club and our members particularly enjoy running our regular events with great support from the local community.”
Upcoming projects include; fundraising for a project in Fiji, providing Usborne Dictionaries for all 240 year 5 pupils in the Kew Primary Schools (funded by Kew Village Market, raising funds for Holly Lodge in Richmond Park and hosting a variety of events to help generate funds.
“I hope to spread the word about our activities and the fellowship that results amongst our members,” added Mr Simmons.
