A woman was attacked and kicked in the head when she tried to stop a group of youths vandalising her car in Whitton.
A group of about 10 youths were walking down Powder Mill Lane damaging parked cars as they went at about 9.45pm on Friday, January 29.
A woman challenged them and two females from the group attacked her.
They punched the woman and repeatedly stamped on her head.
She suffered a head injury, fractured fingers and a fractured cheekbone and was taken to hospital.
Five of the youths, who are known to the police, were arrested shortly after the incident but deny attacking the woman.
There were witnesses to the incident and enquiries continue.
