After hearing five weeks of evidence, the jury in the Jamil Palmer murder trial has retired to consider its verdict at the Old Bailey.
Five teenagers stand charged of murdering the 18-year-old in Crane Park, near Whitton, on May 6.
Kishon Zelaya, 18, from Reading, is on trial over the fatal stabbing alongside a 15-year-old (defendant A), two 16-year-olds (defendant B and C) and a 17-year-old (defendant D), none of whom can be named for legal reasons.
Evidence in the case had been heard since the murder trial began on November 5.
The jury, made up of seven men and five women, must now decide whether the five boys on trial are guilty of murdering the former Richmond College and Kingston College student, who lived in Hampton.
Prosecuting, John McGuinness QC told the court defendant D stabbed Mr Palmer after a “long-running feud” between the two teenagers.
A verdict is expected by the end of the week.
