Hundreds of bulbs were donated to the Hampton Wick Association.
The spring bulbs were generously given by family firm Taylors Bulbs, in partnership with the Metropolitan Public Gardens Association.
The bulbs are made available free of charge to groups across all London boroughs and in Hampton Wick it is hoped they will flower in the Memorial Gardens.
The association’s honorary President Chris Drayson keeps a watchful eye on the gardens and successfully campaigned for their improvement several years ago.
He submitted the application for the bulbs and secured bags of galanthus, alliums, margaritas and scillas, which he planted with the help of Ronnie Findlay.
The association is unsure if the bulbs will flower this year but are hopeful they will provide an attractive display in the future.
