The Crazy World of Arthur Brown will come to the Eel Pie Club in Twickenham, featuring a unique performance and a number one hit.

Arthur Brown, aka the God of Hellfire, will thrash out his smash hit Fire, which reached number one in the UK and Canada, sold more than 1m copies and was awarded a gold disc.

Brown’s flamboyant and theatrical style has been a significant influence on Alice Cooper, Peter Gabriel and Marilyn Manson.

His performance at the Eel Pie Club on September 12 will feature a seven-piece band, including Brown, Jim Mortimore, Samuel Walker, Lucie Rejchrtova, Nina Gromniak, Malcolm Dock and Z-Star.

Gina Way of the Eel Pie Club says: “It’s a very visual performance. When he performed his hit Fire in the 1960s he used real fire, which he won’t use at the Eel Pie Club, but it will be an incredible show.

“People should come along because his performance is completely different and he has his own style and he had his own hit.”

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown; Eel Pie Club, The Patch, London Road, Twickenham, Thursday, September 12, doors 8.30pm, music from 9.15pm to 11pm. Tickets £17 (£15 members) cash on door (if still available) or in advance from eelpieclub.com or call 07732 322610.
