The New Egham Singers are set to entertain at their annual summer concert and picnic to raise money for Sam Beare Hospice.

The 130-strong choir will sing in the St George’s College chapel before moving outside so the audience can enjoy a picnic on the lawn.

The repertoire will include a choral medley of songs and some solo performances before finishing with a “Last night at the proms” finale.

The choir’s first charity concert in 2009 was also in aid of the Weybridge hospice and the choir said they were “delighted to be back gain to support their cause”.

The choir is part of the Egham District Choral Society which raises money for local charities through performances and donations.

Since its formation, the choir has raised more than £22,000.
