Notice of Conservation Area designation/extension: Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 - Sections 69 & 70
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames announces the designation areas, following a decision made by the Council's Strategic Cabinet Member
1) High Street, Hampton Hill Conservation Area (no.38)
The High Street, Hampton Hill Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 169 - 195 (odd) High Street; No.s 34 - 56 (even) Taylor Close; No.s 1-19 (odd) & 8 - 18 (even) Park Road; No.s 2-6 (even) & 1 - 15 (odd) Edward Road.
2) Joanna Southcott Conservation Area (no.41)
The Joanna Southcott Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 89 - 97 (odd) Uxbridge Road; 109 - 121 (Odd, including 109a, but excluding 117a-c) Uxbridge Road, & 125 - 129 Uxbridge Road (odd); Hartswood, Uxbridge Road.
3) St. James Avenue Conservation Area (No.82)
The St. James Avenue Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: St. James Church, St. James Road; No. 46 St. James Road; No.s 25 - 57 (odd) Park Road; 18 - 62 (even) & 25 - 47 (odd) St. James Avenue.
4) Cowley Road Conservation Area (no.79)
The Cowley Road Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 2-120 (even) & 61 - 123 (odd) Cowley Road; No.s 3-24 (consecutive) North Worple Way.
5) Popes Avenue Conservation Area (No.40)
The Popes Avenue Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 1-24 (consecutive) Wellesley Court, Pope's Avenue; No.s 1-7 (consecutive) Jordan Mews, Pope's Avenue; No.s 12 & 19 - 29 (odd) Pope's Grove; No.s 44 - 46 (consecutive) Pope's Avenue; No.s 2-17 (odd) Spencer Road; No.s 1 - 13 (odd) & 2 - 16 (even) Walpole Gardens; Cheddington, Walpole Gardens; Clewly, Walpole Gardens; No.s 1 - 6 (consecutive) Rutland Court, Wellesley Road; Flats 1 - 7 (consecutive), 67 Wellesley Road; No.s 1-27 (consecutive) Thurnby Court, Wellesley Road; Stawberry Hill Railway Station, Tower Road; Strawberry Hill Cars, Strawberry Hill Station, Tower Road; Curry Ghar, Strawberry Hill Station, Tower Road; No.s 1-6 (Consecutive) Wellesley Parade, Wellesley Road; No.s 1 - 15 (consecutive) Berkley Close, Wellesley Road; No.s 1 - 14 (consecutive) Wentworth Court, Wellesley Road; Walls along front and side boundaries of No.s 1 - 14 (consecutive) Raymount Court, Wellsley Road; Walls along front and side boundaries of 1 - 31 (consecutive) Milton Court, Wellesley Road.
6) High Street, Teddington Conservation Area (No.37)
The High Street, Teddington Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 13-51 (odd) & 55 -69 (odd) Waldegrave Road; No.s 1 - 4 Meadow Cottages (consecutive), Waldegrave Road; No.s 15-27 (odd) and No.s 2-30 (even) Cambridge Road; No.s 36-54 (even) Cambridge Road; No.s 50 - 56 (even), No.s 25 - 45 (odd), and No.s 28 & 30 Manor Road;
7) Teddington Lock Conservation Area (No.27)
The Teddington Lock Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 37-49 (odd) Twickenham Road.
8) Bushy Park Gardens Conservation Area (No.77)
The Bushy Park Gardens Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No's 15-31 (Consecutive) Bushy Park Gardens & No's 61 - 67 (odd) Hampton Road.
of nine new conservation areas and the extension of six existing conservation for Environment, Planning and Sustainability on 20 February 2019.
9) King Edwards Grove Conservation Area (No.80)
The King Edwards Grove Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 1 - 73 (odd) & 2 - 86 (Even) King Edwards Grove; Broom Lodge 106 Broom Road.
10) Royal Road Conservation Area (No.81)
The Royal Road Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 11-25 (odd) & 8 - 10 (even) Oxford Road, gate pier in front of No.24 Oxford Road; No.s 32 - 92 (even) Connaught Road; No.s 2-36 (even) Anlaby Road; No.s 1 - 43 (odd) & 2 - 50 (even) Windsor Road; No.s 1 - 35 (odd) and 2-52 (even) Royal Road; No.s 1 - 53 (odd) Prince's Road; & No.s 52 - 82 (even) King's Road.
11) Wick Road Conservation Area (No.83)
The Wick Road Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 2-84 (even) & 15-75 (odd) Wick Road; No.s 1-59 (odd) School House Lane; No.s 2-24 (even) & 1-33 (odd) Lindum Road; No.s 1-81 (odd), 84-108 (even) & 10-78 (even) Bushy Park Road; No.s 1-5 The Pavement, Bushy Park Road; Buckmaster House, 1A Bushy Park Road; No.s 208-232 (even), 238, 244-252 (even), & 256-276 (even) Kingston Road; No.s 1-24 (consecutive) Conifers Close; No.s 1-39 (odd) and 2-16 (even) (including 2a-2e) Fairfax Road; Open space between the rear of No.s 71-81 (odd) Bushy Park Road, railway line and rear of No.s 55-67 Wick Road; Open space between the rear of 2-4 (even) Lindum Road, rear of No.s 2-4 (even) Wick Road and Rear of Nos 262a - 266 Kinston Road.
12) Broad Street Conservation Area (No.85)
The Broad Street Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 4-14 (even) & 1-3 (odd) The Causeway; No.s 30-86 (even) & 69- 71 (Odd) & 47-57 (odd) Broad Street; St. Paul's and St. Peter's Church, Church Road; No.1 Elleray Road; Rims Engineering, rear of The Causeway, off Middle Lane.
13) Church Road Gardens Conservation Area (No.84)
The Church Road Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 1 - 13 (odd), 21 - 39 (odd) & No.s 6-18 (even), 22 - 88 (even) Church Road; No.s 5-11 Walpole Crescent; Teddington Baptist Church, Church Road; No, s 1-2a (Consecutive) & 1-8 Elfin Lodge, Elfin Grove.
14) Twickenham Riverside Conservation Area (No.8)
The Twickenham Riverside Conservation Area has been extended to include the following additional properties: No.s 51-75 (odd) Richmond Road.
15) Cole Park Road Conservation Area (No.78)
The Cole Park Road Conservation Area is a new designation which includes the following properties: No.s 2-46 (even) and 3-45 (odd) Cole Park Road.
