WAITING, LOADING AND SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR RESTRICTIONS
THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 487) ORDER 2021
THE MERTON (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (CONSOLIDATION) TRAFFIC ORDER 2010 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 10 May 2021, made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading' Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that-

(a) waiting by vehicles, including for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle, will be prohibited at any time in the lengths of street specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.

(b) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for up to 40 minutes) will be prohibited at any time in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this notice.

3. The general effect of the 'Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools' Order will be to introduce school entrance markings at the locations specified in Schedule 3 to this notice so as to prohibit any vehicle stopping or remaining at rest between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

4. The prohibition in paragraph 3 above will not apply to:-

(a) any person causing or permitting a vehicle to stop or remain at rest-

(i) if that person is obliged to do so in order to prevent an accident; or

(ii) if that person is required to do by law;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Metropolitan Police.

5. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 24 May 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan specifying the lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. The documents have also been made available for inspection at

6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (CPZ W3) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 12 May 2021, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (CPZ W3) Order 2004 so as to permit waiting by taxis only between the hours of 10pm and 6am the next day throughout the week at the location specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 24 May 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan specifying the road or length of road affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any pro­vision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 10 May 2021, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the 'Places Places' Order will be to amend the London Borough of Merton (Parking Places) (P3) (No. 1) Traffic Order 2012 so as to relocate the parking bays outside No. 12A Ravensbury Terrace to the opposite side of Ravensbury Terrace.

3. The general effect of the 'Waiting and Loading' Order will be to amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be prohibited at any time outside No. 12A Ravensbury Terrace.

THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (VNS) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2021

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 10 May 2021, made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Order will be to relocate parking places in Somerset Road, the south-west side, between its junction with Newstead Way and its junction with Marryat Road to the locations specified in the Schedule to this notice.

3. The general effect of the 'Waiting and Loading' Order will be to impose waiting restrictions which will operate 'at any time' in any length Somerset Road between its junction with Newstead Way and its junction with Marryat Road which is not a parking place.

4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 24 May 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan specifying the lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(CAVENDISH ROAD, COLLIERS WOOD) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames Water works in High Street Colliers Wood, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Cavendish Road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Cavendish Road, Colliers Wood, between its junction with High Street Colliers Wood and its junction with Park Road; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using High Street Colliers Wood, Marlborough Road and Park Road.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) to this notice insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Tuesday 8th June 2021 with the works expected to be completed by Saturday 19th June 2021. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

BURLEY CLOSE, STREATHAM (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate underground and overhead telecom works in Burley Close, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:

(a) Burley Close, the north to south arm, both sides, from the northern kerb-line of Burley Close, the east to west arm, northward for a distance 20 metres; or

(b) Burley Close, the east to west arm, both sides from the eastern kerb-line of Burley Close, the north to south arm, westward for a distance of 25 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Tuesday 8th June 2021 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed that day. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ST JOHN'S ROAD, WIMBLEDON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer repairs in St John's Road, Wimbledon, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in St John's Road, Wimbledon, from its junction with Denmark Road north-eastward for a distance of 20 metres; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of St John's Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of St John's Road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via:-

(a) Denmark Avenue, Worple Road and Spencer Hill or vice-versa; or

(b) Thornton Road, Ridgway and Murray Road or vice-versa.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into force on Monday 7th June 2021 and it is expected that the works would be completed on Friday 18th June 2021. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.
