ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
PERMIT PARKING AREAS - IN AND AROUND LANCASTER GARDENS, KINGSTON AND IN LATCHMERE LANE, KINGSTON (RET. KINGMAP0048)
The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 202* and TheKingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) Order 202*.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6,45,46,49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be;

(a) to introduce a system of controlled parking (known as a Permit Parking Area - PPA) in Fernhill Gardens, Lancaster Close and Lancaster Gardens, Kingston. The Order relating to this PPA would provide that;

- the hours of control (the "permitted hours") in the PPA would apply on Monday to Saturday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.;

- vehicles which may be left in the PPA during its permitted hours would be those displaying a valid resident's or resident's visitor permit relating to this PPA;

- resident's permits would be issued by the Council, on application being made together with payment of the appropriate charge, to any person residing in Fernhill Gardens, Lancaster Gardens and Lancaster Close, Kingston;

- the charge for each resident's permit would be £90 for 12 months, £57 for 6 months or £34 for 3 months;

- the charge for resident's visitor permits would be £1.50 each (1 permit per day).

(b) to introduce a new section to an existing Permit Parking Area (DF) by including the length of Latchmere Lane, Kingston between its junctions with Latchmere Road and Tudor Drive. The Order relating to this part of the PPA would provide that the hours of control (the "permitted hours") would apply on Monday to Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.;

- vehicles which may be left in the PPA during its permitted hours would be those displaying a valid resident's or resident's visitor permit relating to this PPA;

- resident's permits would be issued by the Council, on application being made together with payment of the appropriate charge, to any person residing; in Latchmere Lane, from Nos. 1 to 99 inclusive (odd numbers only) and from Nos. 2 to 16 inclusive (even numbers only); and in Tudor Drive, from Nos. 192 to 230 inclusive (even numbers only);

- the charge for each resident's permit would be £90 for 12 months, £57 for 6 months or £34 for 3 months;

- the charge for resident's visitor permits would be £1.50 each (1 permit per day).

3. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders (proposal documents) cannot currently be inspected at Guildhall 2. However, in line with guidance from the Department for Transport, the following alternative arrangements have been made;

(a) the proposal documents can be inspected online at

4.
