BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (Subway 42 - DOWNSHIRE WAY, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF MOVEMENT OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2019

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough

Council intends not less than seven days from the date

of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with

Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the

effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian or cycle

from proceeding in any direction along:

a) Downshire Way underpass (Subway 42)

The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists

dismounted affected by this Order will be via Old

Bracknell Lane East, Basghot Road, Downshire Way or

by this route reversed.

An additional alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists dismounted affected by this Order will be via Old Bracknell Lane East, Old Bracknell Lane West, Twin Bridges Roundabout (Subway 36 & 37), Wildridings Road, Downshire Way or by this route reversed. The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety during works to lengthen the subway structure to accommodate the ongoing dual carriageway works on the A322 Downshire Way.

The Order came into operation on the 24th July 2019 and its maximum duration will be 12 months. It is currently planned that the closure will be in place between 24th July 2019 - 05th September 2019. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road. Dated 12th July 2019 Andrew Hunter
