You may have read about the plans for the Army to move out of Kneller Hall and for the land to be sold for development. If this should happen, the future of the Museum is in doubt, but it is important that this historic collection be kept together.
The Commandant of Kneller Hall is making making frequent forays to Portsmouth, forage cap in hand, begging the Senior Service, pending the merger between the Royal Marines School of Music (RMSM) with the Royal Military School of Music (RMSM2), to show some mercy and allow at least a few of the artefacts into the new Defence School of Music which is to be in Winchester. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worthy_Down_Barracks
