Joy Skipper who is local to Richmond has just won Gold as a single sculler in the British Rowing Masters Championships, which took place in Nottingham last Sunday.
Joy is a member of Mortlake, Anglian and Alpha Rowing Club, based near Chiswick Bridge.
This comes at a great time for Joy as she is in the throws of setting up Sports Nutrition Workshops around the area for other seriously training athletes. As a food writer (Joy has just published her 12th book - 'The Paleo Diet Made easy Cookbook'), Joy aims to teach club athletes not only what foods they need to eat to help increase their performance, but will also be showing them how to cook great tasting food too.
Joy obviously practices what she preaches!
