The care staff of Abbeyfield Victoria House Care Home, Kew are enjoying three outings with the River Thames Boat Project, the Richmond based charity. Thanks to gifts donated in memory of the late Vicki Parsons, who was a resident in the home and sponsorship by local estate agent Antony Roberts, all 36 staff have the opportunity of being looked after for a change! Usually, Abbeyfield's elderly residents are the beneficiaries of such an outing, but Vicki's niece, Claudine, wanted to thank the staff of the home for the fantastic job that they do. The first outing took place on a sunny May 12th. Claudine, with the help of a friend, provided a picnic lunch and the boat crew looked after everyone brilliantly. There will be further outings on 19th and 27th May.
