A locally run photography project is coming to the end of a 100 year journey, sort of.

Matthew Knight, a resident of St. Margaret’s, has been running ‘The 100’ during the course of 2012. It aims to capture a week in the life of 100 people aged 1 and 100. He’s been handing out disposable cameras to people across the world, and has already received back almost 100 films, sharing the images via his website http://the100.thinkplaymake.co However, he’s reached the end of 2012 and still has three ages missing.

“We’ve been looking all year for every single age, most of which we’ve found, but we’re struggling with three ages that we haven’t been able to find yet.”

The project needs a 77 year old, a 94 year old and a 96 year old to complete its mammoth task of photographing the perspective of every single age, and Matthew is asking for the help of the local community to find the final few.

“I really want to make sure we complete the project, so I’m asking people if they know anyone of these ages. We’ll send them a camera, and all they need to do is fill the film with images of their daily life.”

Anyone who is interested in taking part should apply directly via the website, http://the100.thinkplaymake.co, or post a message via the project Facebook page (http://facebook.com/100cameraproject) or Twitter page (http://twitter.com/the_one_hundred) The entire set of images will be released in the New Year once Matthew has his full set of ages, but you can see the pictures which have returned so far on the website. If you can help the project find those final few people, drop them a line.
