Hampton Hill based charity African Revival put on a great display in Bushy Park as their part of Hampton Hill’s Summer Festival on Saturday 17th July.

The popular ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition was kicked off by David Marlow, Mayor of Richmond, Dr. Vincent Cable MP and Dave Milgate Hampton Hill’s Town Crier for the day. Vincent made a splendid kick to fox the keeper.

The African Art stand drew lots of attention with some wonderful examples of wildlife and figures. Amy Hatton, African Revival’s Executive Director delighted many youngsters with her fantastic and creative face painting.

Operations Manager Lucy Rowe said, “It was great to take part in the Festival and to meet so many new people. We wanted to raise awareness of just what we do and what we are all about. Thanks to the generosity of the visitors we raised £328 to help support our vital work in Northern Uganda, Zambia and Sudan.”

African Revival’s vision is of an Africa where children have access to education, opportunity and choice for the future.
