It's one of those times in the year that everbody loves- the May, three day bank holiday weekend. Each year we say to ourselves that we are going to do something fun with friends and family outdoors- and a lot of us don't exactly get round to doing so. If your excuse is that you don't know where to go and what's on, you're going to have to come up with a new one, becasue if you carry on reading, you are going to know all of the best places to go out this bank holliday weekend.

If you're into theatre then 'The Lottery of Love' at the Orange Tree Theatre is the perfect show to see. It has been awarded 4 stars by the Guardian, the Times, The Evening Standard and many others; it is simply a must-see show.

If you're into all-things-artisan, then the Duck Pond Market in Heron Square is where you should be this weekend. The best local artists, crafters, food producers and ethical businesses are all here. There are locally made arts & crafts, gifts, vintage, homewares and clothing. Musicians also perform live- and there are always famous faces to be spotted at this hip little market!

After all this, you'll probably need a good drink. One of the best places around is the Bloated Mallard on Hampton Hill High Street. It has a charming and warm atmosphere and also has a beautiful garden which is especially lovely in this warm May weather. There is delicious food and brilliant live music performances.

So now there is no excuse not to go out this bank holiday weekend.
