It’s been an eventful week for Rosehill as the Wrythe Lane Superdrug reopened and the Funfair came to town.

Last year in early March the Wrythe Lane Superdrug was engulfed in flames as firefighters ranging from Morden to Croydon worked hard to put out the large fire at approximately 7.20pm.

The cause of the fire is claimed to be due to attempted arson but luckily no one was injured during the attack.

After months of rebuilding the new and improved Superdrug is back in business as it reopened its doors on the 20th April 2017.

To celebrate the reopening the entrance had pink and white balloon decorations at the door and the windows covered in brightly coloured deals.

In addition to the reopening of the Wrythe Lane Superdrug, over the weekend the Funfair was alive and buzzing at Rosehill Park West.

Screams, laughter and the sweet smell of candyfloss filled the air. Bright lights and dizzy rides were all signs of a good time.

The weather was supportive of the funfair as the sun shone bright, adding to the exciting atmosphere.

Unfortunately they were only in town for the weekend but I’m sure they’ll return in time for summer when school is out and fun is in.
