As University applications are fast approaching for year 12's, Sutton Trust are offering up a summer course to experience a life that they have had little chance of experiencing before. This course is focusing on living in the life of a uni student for a week experience of a 'uni' student. Giving an insight on what the future holds and if university is the best choice for them.

This course provides students with a free residential programme in partner with 11 universities and with a range of 40 subjects to study in the time. All costs of this opportunity are covered by Sutton Trust making it a universally applicable to all those interested. Advice of how to fill out the UCAS application with the best insight to the the situation will be given. Furthermore students will get to experience something out of their comfort zone and gain an insight on the situation they will dive into. In addition to these insightful experiences, those who attend the programme will be able to meet a range of people from across the country who they will possibly meet at their university again.

Personally, I believe Sutton Trust offering this one of a kind scheme is one of the best experiences students can have in preparation for the following year (2018 university applicants). Moreover- it allows those who haven't made up their minds of their future pathways a guidance. Out of many opportunities which students in sixth form or college haven't had experience of; apprenticeship, university, gap year or full time work, will hopefully have a better idea for Year 13. After the long running of the Sutton Trust course, it is almost guaranteed to run smoothly without worry of issues amongst safety, and the successful experience without worry.

Due to Sutton Trust paying for all costs, students will not have to worry about staying in the local area and can experience the situation the want when they are in university. Therefore there is no worry of not having the exact experience that the future years hold.

This course is one of a kind and not many have the opportunity to do making it an extreme catch to put on a UCAS application form. It would be recommended however that Year 11's going onto their future education if interest should apply early. Due to its unique opportunities it creates the demand for this course are extremely high and in order to have a higher chance of securing a place early application should be advised.
