Christmas is over for now but don't be disheartened. Look at my photos taken from over the Christmas period to cure you of your Christmas blues.
Although 2017 is now in full swing, Christmas isn’t just a seasonal theme. Whether it be a cold winter night or a hot summer’s day, we can all agree that Christmas movies, hot chocolate and gift giving are timeless appreciations that will never go out of season.
Red, gold, blue and white, dominated Christmas trees. Also, Santa came to pay a visit to Sutton, as Santa’s Grotto was open right up till the 24th December. Everytime I went into the town centre and passed Santa's Grotto there was always a long queue of excited children with their parents waiting to meet the festive celebrity.
More people than ever were volunteering at least an hour of their day, whether it be volunteering at their local food bank or visiting someone who may feel lonely on Christmas day. A lot of love and compassion was shared not just regionally, but nationally.
On the 24th December I went into Sutton High Street to grab a few more little gifts. Little did I know that the street and shops would be filled with masses amount of people doing last minute shopping. Parents with trolleys filled with toys, grandparents with turkey's and puddings in their baskets and teenagers frantically looking for a last minute gift for their parents.
However, it was all worth it as Christmas day saw smiles, laughs and family united under the spell of Christmas.
