SIR, - As the producer of the recent tour by the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts, I should like to thank this newspaper for giving advance coverage of the event and- my friends who assisted me in the hosting of the young actors and stage managing.
In addition, I should like to thank Hampton School's Drama Department for inviting the troupe, in particular headmaster Barry Martin and Mike Franzkowiak, head of drama, not forgetting Angela Marks whose help has been invaluable.
I am only sorry that more people did not visit the Watermans to see the public performances by these extremely talented young students.
Last Thursday I was able to see some work by the drama students at Hampton and Lady Eleanor Holles Schools, under the direction of Mike Franzkowiak and Martine Farr. Of particular merit were Sam Marks and Caroline Bird.
