Welling School
Overall, our A level results, with regard to Value Added, put Welling School in the top 25% of school nationally and reflects our recent 6th Form Ofsted judgement of good with outstanding features. An outcome of this success has seen another year of students wishing to join our 6th Form. Student numbers have provisionally increased by 25% points.
We have also invested in a brand new 6th Form Common Room, complete with cafe and Apple Mac computers.
At GCSE, we achieved our best ever results with regard to 5 A* - C at 74%, showing a 39%+ point increase from 2008 and a 12% point increase 5 A* - C, including English and Maths at 41%. 99% of all our students received a qualification.
New Media resources
We currently have the biggest Mac suites within the Bexley Borough which is due to a investment to our specialist arts college.
Thanks to this investment we are now the front runners within schools for our media music and arts production and editing. There are currently 3 different
Mac suites, one in Music, one in Media and the most recent is our brand new iBar which is situated within the LRC.
