Hounslow library is 8th most visited in the UK

Hounslow Library has emerged as one of the top ten most popular in the country, according to a recent survey.

The library was ranked eighth in the country with 766, 232 visitors in the study conducted by the Museums and Libraries Archive Council.

Croydon Central Library proved to be the most popular in London with more than a million visitors using its facilities and came fourth overall.

The Millennium Centre in Norwich was the most popular in country with more than 1.5m visitors a year.

It also topped the poll for the number of books borrowed with more than a million in just 12 months.

Six London boroughs were among the most popular in the country, with more of the capital’s libraries appearing in the top 20 than any other region in the UK.
