Green-fingered brownies from Bedfont helped out a cancer charity by planting 75 daffodil bulbs at St Mary's Church last week.
The girls, from the 2nd Bedfont pack, got their hands muddy as they took to the gardens in the car park on Wednesday.
Their effort, which continues this week with a further 75 bulbs planted, will also help the girls achieve challenge badges.
Pack guider Louise Piper said Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse Hope Price spoke to the girls before they got to work.
She said: "She gave a really interesting talk about the work she does as a nurse, without scaring them, and about who Marie Curie was.
"We wanted to do something for the community so that everybody could enjoy it when the daffodils come out next spring.
"It also gives the girls a sense of achievement."
The effort was part of a campaign by the charity to plant a record-breaking one million bulbs this autumn and to encourage people to sponsor a daffodil in memory of a loved one.
