Twickenham's Oliver Golding lifted the US Open boys title in New York on Sunday with a 5-7 6-3 6-4 over top seed Jiri Vesely.
Golding becomes the first Brit to win a Grand Slam boys crown since Andy Murray triumphed at Flushing Meadows in 2004.
The 17-year-old former Newland House School student joins the likes of Pat Cash, Stefan Edberg, Andy Roddick, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, David Nalbandian and Andy Murray as a US Open boys' champion.
Golding, who grew up practising on his own court at home, hopes to continue his transition into the senior ranks by playing on the ITF Futures tour but may play more junior events in a bid to finish the years as world nummber one.
