Wimbledon’s Ross Hutchins will attempt to make the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time at the US Open tonight, provided the rain stays away.
The 26-year-old and his men’s doubles partner Colin Fleming were due to face fifth seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday night.
But they have seen the quarter-final match postponed two nights in a row because of heavy rain and it is now scheduled for this evening.
The unseeded British pair beat second seeds Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor 6-3 7-5 in the second round and had a walkover in the third to equal their performance at Wimbledon this year.
