London Broncos have signed Shane Grady on a two-year contract from Australian side Thirroul Butchers.

The centre will join the Broncos for the 2013 season after his impressive performances in the Illawarra Carlton League have seen him play representative games for both the league and the NSW country Origin side.

Former Broncos hooker Shane Millard proved pivotal in the move and Grady cannot wait to train with his new side.

“I would like to thank Shane Millard for the role he has played in making this happen," he said.

"Growing up I've always wanted to play in the Super League and now I'm going to get my chance with a great club.

“I'm stoked to of joined London Broncos, and now I can't wait to start training.”

The former Widnes Vikings player is the first Broncos signing ahead of the 2013 season and head coach Rob Powell is excited to see Grady in action.

“We’re looking forward to getting Shane on board; he’s been on the radar for a while after impressing in the New South Wales competition," he added.

"We’re excited that he’s coming down to London and looking to kick on to the next level.”
