Coach Chris Kibble hopes Rosslyn Park's new-found clinical streak will bode well as they look to climb the National League Three South table.

Kibble was delighted after Park earned back-to-back wins with a battling 14-0 triumph over visiting North Walsham on Saturday.

He said: "You get a win under your belts and, suddenly, it lifts everybody.

"We have started to play with a bit of confidence.

"It might not be great for the rugby purists, but our fans just need to be patient and see what we are trying to achieve."

Saturday's victory at Priory Lane was clinched by tries from John Swords and Dave Riley as Park did the double over their visitors.

But Kibble was undecided as to whether it was the tries, or the defence, that pleased him most.

He added: "If you can stop teams from scoring, you are always going to be in with a chance.

"There was real character in our defence.

"We didn't concede many penalties and, if you can do that, it makes a massive difference.

"On the flipside, we only really got into the final third once in the first half and scored, and that was very pleasing."

Kibble was forced to ring the changes at the weekend, most notably with Rhys Evans drafted in at scrum-half to cover the sidelined Marcus McCluggage.

And the Park boss hopes the fresh blood will lift the side again for Saturday's tough test at high-flyers Cinderford.

Kibble said: "Cinderford are going really well but it is the sort of game we should be relishing rather than dreading.

"Our position looks a lot better than it did a couple of weeks ago and we will travel with confidence."
