Director of rugby Steve Hill has warned his rampant Richmond they must be even more clinical on Saturday, despite putting Shelford to the sword last week.
The Athletic Ground side brushed aside the visitors 41-14 thanks to tries from Will Browne, Harry Edwards (2), Tom George, Johnny Wehbe, Greg Sullivan and Chris Davies.
It was Richmond’s 10th successive victory and moved them seven points clear of second-placed at the top of the National Division Two South table, but the scoreline could have been more convincing.
Hill’s men, who did not really get into their stride until late in the game, travel to their south coast-based title rivals on Saturday.
And the Athletic Ground chief admitted his men will need to be at their best to extend their unbeaten start to the campaign.
“We created a good number of scoring opportunities, but I was frustrated at our inability to finish them off,” he said.
“Thankfully the guys stayed patient and put the scores on the board by the end.
“We will have to be significantly more precise if we are to overcome Worthing, who will be smarting hugely after being thumped at Hartpury.
“It promises to be a terrific match.”
