Doncaster Knights scored twice in the last 10 minutes to deny Richmond a bonus point as the National Division One leaders beat their struggling visitors 27-9 on Saturday.
Director of rugby Steve Hill’s men are in a four-way battle against the drop against Cinderford, Blackheath and Tynedale, and face a crunch trip to sixth-bottom Henley tomorrow.
“To hold the league leaders and a full professional outfit to within six points for 70 minutes speaks volumes,” said Hill.
“We need to take the positives from this performance and use them effectively next week.”
