Warlingham RFC’s head coach David Berry praised his junior stars of the future after a weekend of action on the continent.

The Warl U13s and U14s were invited to the Biarritz Olympique rugby tournament last weekend as England’s only representative.

It was tough going, but Warl did pick up wins against UNSS Minimes and Madrid, featuring tries from Aristot Benz-Solomon, Sam Edwards, Alex Peckett, Ben Payne, J’Dai Prachakul and Daniel Dubet.

Berry said: “It was a great honour just to be invited to this elite competition so to win two games against the best teams in the country is a successful outing for all the boys.

“The boys have learned so much from this trip and it will definitely help us progress in next season’s matches.”

Warlingham’s season is now over but starts again in September when boys and girls of all ages are welcome to join the training and coaching.
