Coach Martin Jones believes London Welsh can continue to build on the positive progress they have made this season.
The Exiles go into Saturday's final home game of the season against Plymouth Albion at Old Deer Park tomorrow knowing they will finish in mid-table in National League One.
They are eighth in the 16-team division after an impressive run of five victories from their past seven matches.
With the majority of the squad going professional next season, Jones believes these are exciting times for the Old Deer Park outfit.
"When I came here I had a five-year plan and this is year three of it," said Jones.
"Our current position is more or less where I want us to be at this stage.
"I have been given an offer to continue next season and, if the little details get ironed out, I should be here.
"I really want to finish getting this club to full-time status and take things from there."
Welsh's recent improvement was highlighted in their sparkling 29-3 victory over high-flying Doncaster last time out a fortnight ago.
Jones is keen for Welsh to maintain that progress against ninth-placed Plymouth tomorrow.
"The Doncaster game was our best overall performance of the season," added Jones.
"We have to look to carry that on against Plymouth.
"They bring similar problems to Doncaster and our defence will have to hold up, but we will definitely be going for it."
Despite the improvements on the pitch and the overhaul under way off it, Jones is calm when discussing the Exiles' hopes for next season.
"We are making progress but you have to look at sides like Exeter and Leeds," he said.
"They have plans in place and are probably at least a year further down the road than us.
"But we are certainly moving forward as a club."
Remaining fixtures: April 19 Plymouth Albion (h), 26 Penzance & Newlyn (a).
