Dragons to face Irish pre-season test

London Welsh will face Guinness Premiership opposition in a pre-season friendly after a clash with London Irish was announced this week.

Irish, who were pipped 10-9 by Leicester in this year’s Twickenham final, will host the Dragons at their Sunbury training ground on Friday August 14 (kick-off 7.30pm).

The game will provide invaluable match-practice for Welsh before their Championship campaign kicks off with a daunting trip to recently-relegated Bristol on September 5.
