Tony Copsey has been appointed as chief executive of London Scottish.
He replaced Joe Flaherty, who had held the post on an interim basis since April last year.
London Scottish chairman David Reid said: “This major appointment follows on from establishing a strong board, top level coaching and support , a professional squad of both young developing players alongside experienced ex-Premiership players.
“It is another building block in delivering success for London Scottish.”
Copsey was managing director of Harlequins from 2000-07 and chief executive of Wasps from 2007-09.
At Quins, Copsey masterminded a threefold increase in turnover and developing one of the best rugby-only stadiums in Britain.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining a club who have big ambitions and the leadership and strategy to get the club back to where it belongs in the top echelons of the game.
“I’m looking forward to bringing to bear my experience of executive management in premiership rugby to achieve their ambitions.”
