London Scottish centre PJ Gidlow admits confidence is high in the camp after last weekend's impressive 26-15 Championship victory over Leeds Carnegie but says complacency wont be an issue when they take on lowly Ealing Trailfinders on Sunday.

Scottish recorded their first every win over Leeds at the Athletic Ground last week to move within one point of the play-offs.

Victory of Ealing, who have yet to register a single win this season, could see James Buckland's side move into the top four but Gidlow claims his teammates won't be taking their near neighbours for granted.

"There is no point ruining all the good work we did against Leeds," he warned.

"Ealing haven't won a game yet but they will be desperate to change that.

"They will throw everything at us and we expect that.

"We have trained well this week and hopefully we can get another win."

The Samoan added: "We have to manage expectations but we are in a good place and the boys are buzzing.

"It’s a different squad this year and at this stage last season we were struggling.

"Beating Leeds gives us lots of confidence going forward because they are really well drilled, a regular top four club with a great professional set-up.

"Tomas Francis was great up front but to be honest all the guys got stuck in and played really well."

London Scottish defeated Trailfinders 44-13 on the opening day of the season during the One Big Weekend double-header at Allianz Park.

Gidlow believes this Sunday will be a different type of game to the one contested in September.

"Back then both teams really didn't know much about each other," he said.

"They had just got promoted and it was early in the season. But now we know their strengths and weaknesses and visa versa.

"So both teams will be more familiar with each other and will adapt their games as a result."
