Hounslow & District Wheelers' Rob Gilmour smashed the club's veterans' 10-mile time trial record while competing in the Crabwood CC 10 on Saturday.
Gilmour clocked a time of 20 minutes 35 seconds, cutting 15 seconds off the old mark, to finish third in the over 50 section.
Overall winner was Peter Vincent (Mid Devon RC) in 19:42.

Gilmour said that he had done no special short-distance training, but everything came together perfectly on the day.
He clocked 20:54 on the same course last year and believed Paul Holdsworth's previous vets' record was within his reach if he made a big effort.
Of the other Hounslow participants, Jo Wells clocked 23.49 and Jill Bartlett 24.38.
Meanwhile, the annual interclub 25 between Hounslow & District, Twickenham and Weybridge Wheelers was held last Sunday, with Hounslow claiming bragging rights.
Hounslow scorers (with handicap times): Neil Holdsworth 1:5.47 (50.47); David George 1:5.36 (52.36); Jill Bartlett 1:10.55 (53.55).
Twickenham were runners-up: Rob Archer 1:6.08 (52.08); John Warnock 57.25 (53.25); Alex Muir 1:10.29 (54.29).
Wells was first woman home in 1:8.53. Simon Wroxley, the improving young Hounslow rider showed promise with a personal best of 1:9.51.The event was held on the West of Windsor course and attracted 55 entries.

To commemorate the Hounslow's foundation in 1933, a celebration club run of 75 miles is to be held on June 29. More details will follow.
