Napoli pipped Cavaliers by half a point in their Candilio Cup clash at the London Club in Ham on Sunday.
The first three chukkas started in warm sunshine but, by the last chukka, torrential rain had made conditions challenging players, horses and spectators, who barely moved from their picnic spots.
Oscar Mancini opened the scoring for Napoli and the club’s chairman Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers soon doubled their lead.
In the second chakka, Casabel started to close the gap and a penalty by Ba Pataudi and a goal by Hannah Albrow made it anyone’s match.
But Mancini, Colquhoun-Denvers and Condilio scored further goals for Napoli to give Napoli are narrow victory, with Casabal and Benje Davis on target for Cavaliers.
