Teddington Swimming Club Masters smashed the overall points record as they won the Bracknell Masters Open for the fourth consecutive years, writes Matthew Tisdale.
the triumphant team, led by coach Adam Ackland, notched 555 points to finish well clear of hosts Bracknell [332 points] and Rushmoor Royals [213 points]. The 27-strong team competed in over 130 individual events and relays and secured a huge medal haul of 99 medals – featuring 46 gold, 37 silver and 16 bronze.
Ackland was three standout performer in winning five gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
Teddington Masters chairman Ken Bailey said “It’s great when months of dedicated training pay off.
“We could not have achieved this level of success without an inspiring coaching team encouraging us to push ourselves to do our best week after week.”
