Skipper Will Skinner is no rush to book his summer holidays with Harlequins on the brink of securing a Guinness Premiership play-off spot.

The 24-year-old's last-minute try secured a bonus point from Sunday's 32-6 triumph at Leeds Carnegie on Sunday to put Quins second in the table, two points behind leaders Gloucester, with three games left.

A top-four finish will secure at least a one-game extension to Quins' current campaign and a play-off spot will also enhance Skinner's England prospects.

"I don't know what the likelihood of me making a summer tour is at the moment," said Skinner, who featured in England Saxons' Churchill Cup triumph last year.

"I just have to wait and see what the coaches say.

"My main priority is Harlequins. If we keep playing well, a top-four finish and a place in the play-offs will hopefully give me a good chance.

"My girlfriend is frustrated because she wants to go on holiday, but I can live with that.

"I have already had to cancel some because of late call ups to the Saxons squad last year and the Six Nations, so I am not rushing into things."

Skinner's score capped a dogged performance in Yorkshire, with tries from England full-back Mike Brown, Danny Care and Jim Evans helping condemn the hosts to relegation.

Second-row Ollie Kohn, who returned made his first start for Quins since last month's triumph at Bristol, earned praise from his captain.

"Ollie had an excellent game against Bristol and then played will in the A League matches," said Skinner.

"The break seems to have done him good.

"Everybody in the squad is on their toes to make sure they keep their places.

"Players coming back in can also give us fresh impetus at this stage of the season."

Quins' remaining fixtures: Apr 19 London Irish (a), Sale Sharks (h), Leicester Tigers (a).
