Met Police boss Jimmy Cooper has turned on his Blues days after on-loan midfielder Matt Pattison’s injury-time goal secured a sixth straight league and cup win.

Pattison’s heroics gave his side a 2-1 triumph over AFC Hornchurch on Saturday after Ricardo Joseph had given the Blues an early lead only for the visitors to level matters through George Purcell.

But three days later, the winning streak was in tatters and Cooper reacted angrily after watching his men surrender their League Cup ambitions 3-0 at home  to Harrow Borough – their first defeat since November.

“I never had the ability that my players have but I wanted to win every game," the manager tweeted on Tuesday night hours after the exit.

“Would rather have 11 of my type than #thebigtimecharlies.”

He  continued: “First defeat since mid November really cannot accept the manner of it though changes for Maidstone Saturday.”

The Blues go to Maidstone United on Saturday knowing their hosts won 4-2 at Wingate & Finchley in mid-week.
