Richard Brady has left the door open on Greg Andrews's Leatherhead career despite last season's top scorer joining Walton & Hersham on loan.

Andrews played a major role in the Tanners' promotion from Ryman Division One South but has struggled to make an impact in the Ryman Premier since Brady took over from Mick Sullivan.

He was an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-0 win over Hastings United and Brady, who also announced Chris Boulter has decided to take a break from the game after a number of injuries, hopes he can find his touch again at the Swans.

"He has had a bit of a wretched time since going away for his wedding," said Brady, "It has not really worked for him since he came back and this is a chance for him to move on and improve, get some game time and score goals.

"He will hopefully get some confidence in himself.

"Chris has decided to take a break.

"He has been plagued by injuries this year and wants to take a step back."

Mark Simmons's penalty and Tommy Hutchings's strike secured Leatherhead a vital win in their fight against relegation on Saturday despite Hutchings missing an earlier spot-kick.

Their game with Concord Rangers was postponed due to a frozen pitch on Tuesday but they can escape the drop zone with victory over Wingate & Finchley on Saturday.

"There is a massive buzz about the place as we are doing well and we are confident in our ability," added Brady, who expects to make a new signing before the weekend.

"We are four points behind Wingate with a game in hand but we have to approach every game in the same way and prepare the right way.

"What is the case is we are in good form and looking forward to the game, but we will not get anything unless we work hard."
