A fundraising football match is being held in aid of soldier Chris Howard, who lost a leg and three fingers in Afghanistan.
Molesey-based Chris, 22, needs funds to aid his rehabilitation and his dad Steve will be among those playing in the match at Molesey FC on Sunday, November 1 (2pm).
Among those taking part are representatives of local schools Dave Simms (Hurst Park governor) and Jonny Martin (St Albans parent) and churches Mark Blythe (Molesey Community), David Ingold (St Paul’s) and Chris Simms (St Mary’s).
Other participants include friends Dan Dawkins and Joe Johnston plus Mario Vella, Steve Kemp, Paul Morris and Tony Doe.
A signed Arsenal shirt is among the lots donated for a fundraising auction. For more information e-mail Mark Blythe at mark@mccfc.org.uk
