Sam Page’s first half header ended a run of three league draws as Ks downed Ryman Premier League title chasers Leiston off their stride on Saturday, writes Stuart Amos.

The former Sutton United defender struck two minutes before half time and boss Tommy Williams’ men held on to stretch their unbeaten league run to 10 matches and move up to sixth in the table prior to Wednesday’s trip to Leatherhead.

“We played better in the first half than in the second,” said assistant manager Graham Harper.

“Getting our centre halves to score a bit more has been on the agenda and Sam Page has chipped in with a couple now. We are really pleased with everyone.”
