Boss Alan Dowson will not close the Kingstonian door on former player of the year Matt Pattison and Matt Somner.
The pair were set to agree month long loan deals with Met Police and Crawley Down Gatwick respectively on Thursday night – injuries pending.
But Dowson insisted it was not curtains for their Ks careers.
“They are two players I rate highly, but they are not getting games at the moment because we are winning,” he said on Thursday morning.
“The longer they are sat in the stands the less match fit they become and that is not fair on them, when they are called on to play.
“It depends on what injuries I have when we train on Thursday night, but I think the moves will happen.
“We’d love to keep all the players, but we cannot afford to.
“They will go for a month to get sharp and then we will take it from there.”
