Nick Gelis may be a Kingstonian sponsor, but he is is not putting any money on them winning Ryman Premier League title this season.

A goal at the end of each half from Ryan Moss and Aaron Goode gave Ks a crunch 2-0 win over Margate at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.

The result fired boss Alan Dowson's men to second in the table and level on points with league leaders Maidstone United.

Gelis is founder of Ks sponsor Betstatz, a website - launched in August - that provides statistical analysis for those looking to place a bet on football from the top level to non-League.

And the 30-year-old from Caterham reckons on current form Ks, who have the meanest defence in the division, should be certainties for a top five finish - at least.

"I would bet on Kingstonian reaching the play-offs, certainly," he said.

"There are some good teams in the league though.

"I would say Maidstone have to be the favourites to win the league.

"They are spending a lot of money on players and the artificial pitch they have is an advantage at home. Away teams do not tend to like playing on it.

"Ks are up there, but I would think they are more likely to finish in the play-offs."
