Kingstonian striker Andre McCollin has vowed to find his shooting boots and get Ks back to winning ways.

Boss Alan Dowson’s men made it back-to-back defeats  as they crashed 2-0 at Lowestoft Town on Saturday after last week’s FA Trophy exit.

McCollin, without a goal in his last two appearances, was guilty of being profligate in front of goal, alongside fellow shot shy strike partner Ryan Moss.

But the former Yeovil Town front man has promised to get back on form when Leiston visit this weekend.

“I think the squad has got a bit complacent,” he said.

“At the beginning of the season we were flying and we need to maintain that, but we seem to think we are better than we are.

“Myself and Ryan missed a couple of chances at the weekend and I think if we had scored them we would have won.

“The game against Leiston is a great one to get back to form.

“I haven’t scored for a little while and that has to change. I’ll be dusting those boots off this weekend.”

Alan Dowson strengthened his back four and midfield to little effect last week, having swooped to sign Carshalton Athletic full back Bruce Hogg and ex-Salisbury City midfielder Josh Casey.

Former Chipstead man Hogg made the switch last Wednesday in the wake of boss Tommy Williams’ recent exit from the Ryman Premier League strugglers and he comes with a glowing reference from the ex-Ks midfielder.

Dowson had vowed to bring in two new faces and made good on his promise with the addition of Casey from Bashley on Friday.

Current Ks winger Charlie Knight played alongside the midfielder at Salisbury City and expects him to settle in quickly.

"I've known Josh for a long time and there is a lot more to come from him. When we were at Salisbury I rated him as one of the best left backs in the league," he added.

"He has proved he can be as good in centre midfield over the last three seasons and has performed conistently well there."
