Hampton & Richmond Borough boss Alan Dowson has vowed to make the most of Moussa Diarra's loan spell at the Beveree.

The Hemel Hempstead Town centre back, on loan at the Beavers for the next three months, was a towering presence in defence and attack in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Enfield Town.

Diarra, signed by Dowson last week, caused chaos in the Enfield box at a corner to give Tom Collins the chance to bundle home his first goal for the club from close range in midweek.

He was also an influential presence in Saturday's 2-1 win over East Thurrock United, which came thanks to goals from Billy Jeffreys and Charlie Moone.

And the Beveree chief is not ashamed to admit he will be trying to get the Frenchman forward as often as possible as he attempts to turn the club's fortunes around.

"He has been outstanding," said Dowson on Tuesday.

"He's been great.  We have to use him as an asset, as well as playing football through our wide players.

"We need to get him in their half as often as we can."

Collins could have had a hat-trick on another night as he squandered two chances with only the keeper to beat, missed a penalty and was inexplicably booked for diving having rounded the Enfield number one.

The misses might have proved costly had Town defender Ryan Doyle not hit both posts with a debatable 67th minute penalty.

"Saturday was a hard phyisical game and Enfield have got a new manager, so I'm pleased with the result, but not the performance," added the manager.

"We need players, we are looking for improvement, but fair play to the lads they worked very hard.

"We've had a bad run at home, so we'll take the result and move on."
